Royal Palm Beach Elementary School student Jack Powell received a special certificate of heroism from the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office District 9 substation during the school’s award ceremony Wednesday, June 6. Powell was honored for saving a fellow classmate from choking. He performed the Heimlich maneuver on the student, which Powell learned after watching an episode of the Disney Channel show The Suite Life of Zack & Cody. Powell also received a special package from Disney and the Royal Palm Beach SuperTarget store.
