Wellington Mayor Appointed To Florida League Of Cities Board

Michael Napoleone

Wellington Mayor Michael Napoleone was recently appointed to the Florida League of Cities Board of Directors. Appointments to the board were made by Florida League of Cities President Holly D. Smith, vice mayor of Sanibel.

As a board member, Napoleone will bring his experience and perspective to support the league’s mission of serving the needs of Florida’s municipalities and protecting local self-government. The league champions “Local Voices Making Local Choices,” recognizing municipal leaders’ critical role in building and sustaining vibrant communities.

“I am honored to join the board of directors of the Florida League of Cities and to represent the Village of Wellington and municipalities across our state,” Napoleone said. “The league has long been a powerful advocate for home rule and local government, and I look forward to working with my colleagues to ensure that Florida’s cities have a strong voice on the issues that matter most to our communities.”

Founded in 1922, the Florida League of Cities is the united voice for Florida’s municipal governments. For more information, visit www.flcities.com.
