Wellington Regional Medical Center recently expanded its capabilities with robotic surgeries. On Thursday, Feb. 26, a ribbon-cutting celebration welcomed the new Da Vinci 5 by Intuitive robotic surgery machine. WRMC is the first in the western communities to utilize this new technology, although the hospital has been at the forefront of robotic surgery machines since 2018. Intuitive has been building robotic surgery machines for 30 years.
