The Women of the Western Communities (WWC) turned Wellington National Golf Club into a high-energy celebration of community, compassion and a little country flair at the “Boots & Boogie” fundraiser on Saturday, April 18.

With music, line dancing and a lively silent auction, the event brought together supporters from across the western communities to raise funds for local women.

Guests arrived ready to mingle and give back, kicking off the day with a bustling silent auction and social hour with a specialty drink, appropriately named “Thelma and Louise.”

Attendees enjoyed a delicious barbecue lunch buffet before the excitement ramped up with dance music and line dancing directed by DJ Kristi Moynihan, door prizes and the much-anticipated auction close. The afternoon concluded with winning bids announced and a celebratory checkout as guests left knowing they had made a meaningful impact.

“Boots & Boogie was more than just a fun afternoon, it was a powerful reminder of what happens when a community of women comes together with purpose,” WWC President Teresa Harrington said. “Every dollar raised helps us continue our mission of supporting women in our community who need a hand up.”

Funds raised from the event will directly benefit the group’s scholarship program, as well as this season’s charitable initiatives, which include support for organizations such as the Tree of Life Resource Center, Meals on Wheels of the Palm Beaches and Forgotten Soldiers Outreach. These programs provide essential services ranging from food assistance and medical care to support for veterans, homebound senior citizens and families facing hardship.

The success of the event was made possible through the generous support of sponsors, including: Presenting Sponsor, Florida Adult Education LLC; Country Girl Punch Bar Sponsor, SP Aesthetics; Country Girl Wildflowers Sponsor, Wellington Florist; Swag Bag Sponsor, Success Promotions Inc.; Country Girl Sweet Treat Sponsor, Happy Day Creations; and Country Girl Boot Soap Sponsor, LynDonna Creations. Special thanks also to Wellington National Golf Club for hosting the event, as well as local businesses, contributors and volunteers who donated auction items, services and time to ensure the event’s success.

From stylish boots to spirited bidding, “Boots & Boogie” delivered an unforgettable afternoon with a meaningful mission at its core. The Women of the Western Communities looks forward to continuing its impact and invites the community to join future events and initiatives.
