Horizon Pool & Patio recently announced that Danielle Tuchinsky, a beloved kindergarten teacher at Wellington Elementary School, is the winner of the company’s 2026 Teacher of the Year contest.
The Horizon team visited the school to surprise Tuchinsky with a celebratory delivery of flowers, a handmade basket of classroom supplies, gift cards and special treats for her students.
Tuchinsky has been shaping young minds in Palm Beach County for 16 years, including 13 years in kindergarten. This is her fourth year at Wellington Elementary, a school that holds special meaning for her. A true product of the community she now serves, she grew up in Wellington and attended Wellington Elementary School, Wellington Landings Middle School and Wellington High School.
Tuchinsky and her husband, Cliff, are raising their two sons — Jeremy (9) and Austin (7) — in the same hometown that helped shape her own educational journey.
“Danielle represents everything we wanted to celebrate with this contest,” said Jennifer Kenbeek, CEO and co-owner of Horizon Pool & Patio. “Her dedication, her roots in Wellington and the love she pours into her students reflect the heart and soul of this community.”
This year’s contest holds special significance for Horizon Pool & Patio, which is celebrating 40 years in business in Wellington. Founded in 1985 by Chuck and Linda Grove, Horizon now has grown into a three‑generation family business still dedicated to serving the community they call home. Honoring a local educator was a meaningful way to recognize the people who help make Wellington such a strong, connected place to live.
Horizon Pool & Patio extends its warmest congratulations to Tuchinsky, and a heartfelt thank‑you to every teacher who was nominated and makes a difference in the community each and every day. The company remains committed to celebrating the individuals who make a lasting impact on Wellington’s families and future.
