Wellington Board Approves Changes For Town Square Outparcel Building

The old PNC Bank building off Forest Hill Blvd. and Ken Adams Way in Wellington Town Square was given approval Wednesday, May 27 for more sign visibility and for new paint colors, now that the outparcel has been taken over by a new business.

Wellington’s Architectural Review Board approved the new aesthetic changes for the building, which will now be used by Ignite Wealth, a financial services and media company.

Before the meeting, the new owners of the property painted the building, but went before the board after realizing they needed approval from the village to make such changes.

“The request is for the exterior color, which was painted before going to the board,” Senior Planner Damian Newell said. “There was some misunderstanding when they were seeking direction.”

The building is now an off-white color, with the roof being painted a dark bronze.

As part of their request, the applicant also asked to move the primary wall sign to face Forest Hill Blvd and for a logo sign that is greater than 30 inches.

“We would like to have the main sign facing Forest Hill for more exposure to the public,” agent Jodi Lue Yat said.

The applicant acquired the building in 2025, and they have been renovating both the interior and exterior of the building.

Village staff said the new paint colors are compatible with the surrounding area and recommended approval of the signage request as well.

The board unanimously passed a motion to approve the paint colors, allow the applicant to place the primary signage facing Forest Hill Blvd., and allow the logo sign to be up to 16 inches larger than the 30-inch letter signage.
