In Pursuit of Par — On Thursday, Aug. 27, Sophia Christy, a junior golfer from the King’s Academy, finished second at the Archbishop McCarthy Maverick Invitational golf tournament. It was meant to be an 18-hole event at the Coral Springs Golf Course, but it was reduced to 11 holes due to excessive rain. For those 11 holes, Christy finished at even par on the day.
