Wellington Will Host ‘Mystery Behind The Magic’ On Nov. 7

Tickets are now on sale for Wellington’s re-imagined dinner theater experience featuring magician and mentalist David Frost.

Prepare for an evening where nothing is quite what it seems. The Village of Wellington invites guests to step beyond the ordinary at “The Mystery Behind the Magic,” a sophisticated new interactive entertainment experience taking place Saturday, Nov. 7, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Wellington Community Center (12150 W. Forest Hill Blvd.).

Formerly presented as Wellington’s annual Murder Mystery Dinner Theater, this year’s event introduces an entirely new experience, transforming the evening into an immersive celebration of magic, mentalism, illusion, dining and intrigue.

At the center of the evening is magician and mentalist David Frost, whose highly interactive performances combine sleight of hand, mind reading, psychological illusion and modern technology.

But the performance is only part of the mystery.

Guests will begin the evening with an elegant cocktail reception and passed hors d’oeuvres on the outdoor Wellington Promenade, setting the tone for an unforgettable night. From there, they’ll be welcomed into the newly renovated Grande Ballroom for a banquet-style, three-course dinner. Wine and prosecco will be provided by event sponsor Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurants.

Throughout the evening, guests will not simply watch the show — they may become part of it. Frost’s interactive style brings magic and mentalism directly into the audience, blurring the line between what is possible, what is impossible and what may be happening right at your table.

Formal attire is suggested to complement the “Roaring ’20s” theme, giving guests the opportunity to dress for an elegant evening out while enjoying an experience unlike anything Wellington has presented before.

To make the evening easier for parents to enjoy, childcare will be available for children ages 5 to 12 during the event. While adults enjoy the 21-plus dinner and performance, eligible children can participate in supervised childcare programming provided as part of the evening’s event offerings. Additional childcare registration details and any applicable requirements will be available through Wellington’s CivicRec registration system.

Tickets to “The Mystery Behind the Magic” are now on sale for $60 per person. Registration should be completed through Wellington’s CivicRec registration system.

Guests will purchase individual seats at one of 22 available tables, allowing attendees to select their table as part of the registration process. Those planning to attend with friends or as a group are encouraged to coordinate registration early to secure seats together at the same table. Seating is limited, and advance registration is strongly encouraged.
