February is a time of year when we focus on love and Valentines. Is there a better way of expressing your love than learning how to save a life — perhaps the life of your loved one?
On Saturday, Feb. 13 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Mall at Wellington Green, Palm Beach County Fire-Rescue, Palm Beach County Emergency Management, the Health Care District of Palm Beach County, the American Red Cross and students from local medical magnet schools will be partnering with the mall to offer hands-only CPR training. Come out and learn the life-saving techniques to help you recognize and respond to a life-threatening emergency.
If someone needs CPR, the chance of survival goes down 10 percent each minute that no one intercedes. By learning to recognize and respond to a life-threatening emergency, you can make a difference and make Palm Beach County a safer place to live.
