A hand-recount of the ballots in Wellington’s disputed municipal election will take place Saturday at the Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections processing facility in Riviera Beach.
On Thursday morning, Palm Beach County Circuit Court Judge Robin Rosenberg approved a request for an expedited hand count.
Lawsuits were filed Wednesday by candidates Bob Margolis and John Greene, as well as several Wellington voters, looking to speed up the recount process.
The hand count has been scheduled to start at 8 a.m. Saturday to verify the winners of the March 13 Wellington election.
Six teams will hand-count the ballots in a process expected to take most of the day — between 6 and 10 hours.
