Attorney Shullman Appointed To Several Posts

The Law Offices of Sarah Shullman, P.A. have announced that managing partner Sarah Shullman has been appointed to co-chair the Committee for Diversity and Inclusion of the Palm Beach County Bar Association. Shullman was also appointed to the Florida Association for Women Lawyers Board of Directors, for which she will act as the director of programming.

The Palm Beach County Bar Association, through its Committee for Diversity and Inclusion, is committed to meeting the needs and goals of the community’s minority population. The bar has partnered with multiple minority bar associations to improve the hiring, retention, promotion and support of minority lawyers in Palm Beach County.

“This year, we are absolutely committed to making diversity a focus of our bar events and programs,” said Shullman, incoming co-chair of the Committee for Diversity and Inclusion. “It is incredibly important that the legal community reflect the community as a whole, and our goal is to encourage legal employers to consider minority candidates when making their hiring decisions.”

Founded in 1951, the Florida Association for Women Lawyers (FAWL) strives to propel women lawyers into economic, social and leadership spheres of power. As programming director for 2012-13, Shullman will be planning and executing monthly luncheons that feature distinguished female lawyers as speakers and panelists. Past panelists include Supreme Court justices; local, state and federal judges; and successful attorneys.

“FAWL is an important voice for women,” Shullman said. “As we continue to reach past the glass ceiling, we also have families and children to balance. FAWL provides a powerful forum for female attorneys who strive to succeed in both aspects of their lives, and I am excited to give back to this organization the support it has given to me.”
