Planned Parenthood will celebrate its annual Free Pap Test Day on Monday, Aug. 6 with free testing at the Wellington Health Center (10111 W. Forest Hill Blvd., Suite 340).
It is recommended that women over 21 get a pap test at least every three years to screen for cervical cancer. But almost 2 million women in Florida have no health insurance, and even more are underinsured. Planned Parenthood is offering this potentially lifesaving test at no cost to women in the community.
To make an appointment, call (800) 551-4060. Appointments are limited and should be made early. For more information, visit www.ppsoflo.org.
