Wellington is offering a variety of programs for adults age 55 and older at the Wellington Community Center located at 12150 W. Forest Hill Blvd. Pre-registration is required for all activities.
• Brunch & Bingo — Join in Wednesday, Aug. 15 for an enjoyable afternoon of food and fun. Brunch starts at noon, and bingo starts promptly at 1 p.m. The cost of Brunch & Bingo is $2 for bingo only and $6 with brunch. The deadline to order a lunch is Monday, Aug. 13.
• Wii Bowling — Video games aren’t just for kids. Come see what all the fun is about while getting your daily exercise. Wii Bowling classes are free and will take place on Thursday, Aug. 16 from 10 to 11:30 a.m.
• Financial Lunch & Learn Seminar — Sponsored by Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, these free seminars are designed to get you “financially fit” while serving a healthy lunch. August’s seminar will take place on Thursday, Aug. 16, and the topic will be “Making Your Nest Egg Last.” The registration deadline for this seminar is Wednesday, Aug. 15 at noon.
• AARP Driving Course — This class is great for insurance discount purposes or as refresher course. This month’s class will take place on Thursday, Aug. 23 from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Students should bring a lunch or snacks for the day. The cost of the class is $12 for AARP members and $14 for nonmembers. Payments will to be made to the instructor the day of the class.
