Wellington Christian Welcomes New Families

Wellington Christian School welcomed 55 new families to its campus as the new school year began Monday, Aug. 20. The WCS Parent Teacher Fellowship organization welcomed these new families with the annual New Family Coffee event held Thursday, Aug. 23.

New families were treated to a continental breakfast of coffee and donuts donated by the Starbucks in the Wellington Plaza and Dunkin’ Donuts on Okeechobee Blvd. in Royal Palm Beach. Each family received a welcome gift basket packed with information to help them get acquainted with all that WCS offers to its students and their families.

The New Family Coffee introduces new families to key faculty, staff and parent leadership on campus and is a wonderful time of fellowship with old friends welcoming new friends into the WCS community. It also allows both students and families to quickly assimilate and get their education and experience at the school off to a great beginning.

“It is a wonderful opportunity to experience the first day of school with new families every year,” New Family Event Chair and PTF Outreach Coordinator Jennifer Ross said.

Headmaster Dr. Tim Sansbury welcomed the new families to Wellington Christian School by encouraging them to be active in the close-knit, Christ-centered community of families who all share a common goal for their children’s education.

Wellington Christian School is located at 1000 Wellington Trace and is an accredited Christian school accepting students from PK2 to grade 12. The school offers private tours for interested families. For more information, call (561) 793-1017 or visit www.wellingtonchristian.org.
