TKA’s Auction Kickoff Meeting A Success

There was excitement in the air as the King’s Academy’s Auction Planning Committee met for the first time this year.

Auction chairs Teddy Walker and Denise Meers were introduced, as well as theme consultant Cristina Rodriguez and event consultant Irelys Pattee. The group of 30 women discussed the upcoming events that support the auction effort, including the boutique and trunk show, Christmas open house/underwriting party, online Christmas shop, gift-gathering parties, and the luncheon and fashion show.

Subcommittees were also formed for the silent auction in the areas of dining; home and garden; handbags, accessories and jewelry; family entertainment; sports and memorabilia; travel and vacation; services; and We Love TKA. The Mane Event Dinner & Auction will be held Saturday, March 2, 2013 at PGA National. The theme will be “Havana Nights.” Back by popular demand, the auction again will utilize the BidPal handheld mobile bidding devices.

Also recognized at the meeting were current sponsors, including presenting sponsors Insurance Office of America (Heather and Ray Dorsey), diamond sponsors Ed and Shirleen Aiello, platinum sponsors Braman Honda (Cristina and Mike Rodriguez) and Insurance Express (the Graceffo family), and gold sponsors the Bone and Joint Center (Dr. and Mrs. Jorge Acevedo).
