Bass Fishing Kids Hosts Tournament At Okeeheelee Park

Bass Fishing Kids Palm Beach County held its Classic Tournament on Saturday, Oct. 27 at Okeeheelee Park. With high winds, a total of 22 young anglers completed for the title of 2012 Palm Beach Classic Champion. After the tournament, all the anglers and guests were treated to a barbecue. Then the results were read and the champion announced.

The results are as follows: first place, Cody Snead of Parkland, 4.61 lbs.; second place, Gergo Kruppa of West Palm Beach, 4.10 lbs.; and third place, Justin Klindt of Coral Springs, 3.48 lbs.

The Big Fish for the Day was awarded to Gergo Kruppa, who caught a fish weighing 1.65 lbs.

Angler of the Year in the Small Fry Division was awarded to Mathew Wood of Royal Palm Beach. Angler of the Year in the Junior Division was awarded to Justin Klindt of Coral Springs.

Biggest Fish of the Year was awarded to Nick Fleming of Wellington, who had caught a fish weighing 4.58 lbs.

The Classic Prize was an 8-foot Bass Pro Pond Prowler with a Minn Kota trolling motor, Interstate battery and lure pack.
