Current and past Major League Baseball players were on hand for the inaugural Salty Classic on Saturday, Dec. 15 at the Binks Forest Golf Club. Former Royal Palm Beach High School star and current Boston Red Sox catcher Jarrod Saltalamacchia hosted the event, a benefit for the Wounded Warriors Project and Athletes Advantage. A $150 donation per player provided a playing spot in the scramble-format golf tournament, a goody bag, dinner and a raffle, plus a memorabilia auction. All participants also received a replay pass good at Binks Forest for another 18-hole round of golf.
