The Wellington Garden Club will meet Monday, Jan. 7 at the Wellington Community Center (12150 W. Forest Hill Blvd.), with a business meeting at 10:30 a.m. followed by lunch at 11:30 a.m. and at a 12:30 p.m. program titled “Sugarland Wind: A Wind Project,” presented by Robin Saiz of Wind Capital Group.
This unique and informative presentation will discuss results of a two-year environmental impact study on birds and bats, and how wind as a renewable, nonpolluting energy source can coexist with growing crops.
