The Loxahatchee Groves Landowners’ Association will meet Thursday, Jan. 24 at 7 p.m. at Palms West Presbyterian Church (13689 Okeechobee Blvd., Loxahatchee Groves).
The meeting’s guest speaker will be a representative from the Solid Waste Authority who has been asked to discuss the Palm Beach County recycling program and explain how the county benefits from it. The SWA representative will also talk about the trash-to-energy incinerator plant that is being built instead of buying more land for landfill use.
This is an open meeting during which residents will get a chance to discuss issues of concern they may have related to things that are going on in the town. The meeting is open to the public, but only LGLA members with 2013 paid dues can make motions and vote on them. For additional information, contact LGLA President Marge Herzog at (561) 818-9114 or email@example.com.
