Kravis Receives $1 Million Gift

The Kravis Center for the Performing Arts recently received a $1 million gift from Barbara and Jerome Golden of Palm Beach Gardens. The gift was announced at the Kravis Center’s annual black tie gala, which was completely sold out.

This is the third major gift to the Kravis Center in the last six months, including an MLDauray Arts Initiative grant from Mary Lou and Alan Davis in honor of his late parents Leonard and Sophie Davis, and a gift from the Lawrence J. and Florence A. De George Charitable Trust. The MLDauray grant is underwriting the new PEAK (Provocative Entertainment at Kravis) series at the Kravis Center, while the second gift is funding the new De George Academy for the Performing Arts.

Ticket sales and rental revenue alone do not cover the cost of operating a not-for-profit facility such as the Kravis Center. It is only through contributions like these and benefit events like the annual gala that the Kravis Center can continue to make the best of the performing arts available to the entire community.
