The Seminole Ridge High School Hawk Band will host the eighth annual Hawk Family Fun Day Car Show, Barbecue & Carnival on Saturday, Feb. 23 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on school grounds at 4601 Seminole Pratt Whitney Road.
The community is invited to join Hawk musicians and their families for another weekend of fun and games. There will be a car show and barbecue platters, crafts, vendor booths and silent auction, and plenty of rides and games for kids of all ages.
Vendors are needed. Spaces are available for $20 without electricity, $30 with electricity and $50 for corporate businesses. Vendors must provide their own tent, chairs, tables, etc. Contact Kim at (561) 798-5051 for more info. Also, donations are needed for the silent auction, which will feature items and services from local businesses as well as themed band section baskets. All donations are tax deductible.
Advance barbecue tickets cost $7 from Band Director Tim Skinner or $8 at the gate. Tickets for rides and games cost $1 each, five for $4 or 15 for $10.
The Car Show and the Big Truck & Swamp Buggy Show are open to all makes, models and years. All vehicles must be at the school no later than 8 a.m. and stay for the judging at 2 p.m. The pre-registration fee of $15 per vehicle must be paid by Feb. 20. The sidewalk chalk contest is open to anyone interested.
