FEB. 1 — A deputy from the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office substation in Royal Palm Beach met with a victim last Friday morning regarding a delayed theft that occurred at Katz Field on Sweet Bay Lane. According to a PBSO report, on Wednesday, Jan. 30 at approximately 4:10 p.m., the victims were at the fields for a soccer game and dropped their bags near the concession stand. When they returned to their bags around 5:30 p.m., they discovered that an iPod and an iPhone were missing. The stolen items were valued at approximately $750.
FEB. 4 — A deputy from the PBSO substation in Royal Palm Beach was called Monday morning to Katz Field on Sweet Bay Lane regarding an attempted burglary. According to a PBSO report, sometime between midnight and 7 a.m., someone attempted to gain access to a storage room with commercial lawn equipment in the concession building at the park. The perpetrator(s) used a large steel pipe to attempt to force open the door but were unable to fully open it. The damage was estimated at approximately $1,000. There were no suspects or witnesses at the time of the report.
JAN. 31 — A Royal Palm Beach resident called the PBSO substation in Royal Palm Beach last Thursday to report a robbery. According to a PBSO report, the victim was waiting at a bus stop on Silk Carnation Way at approximately 6:20 a.m. when three unknown males approached him. According to the report, one of the suspects approached and asked to use the victim’s cell phone. When the victim declined, the suspect snatched the phone from his hand and fled into the Nautica Lakes community. Meanwhile, the other two suspects fled westbound into the Seminole Lakes community. The phone was an Apple iPhone 4s, valued at $120. The suspect was described as a black male between 5’10” and 5’11”, with short black hair in a fade-style cut and a scar under his right eye. He was last seen wearing orange shorts and a dark blue or black shirt. There was no further information available at the time of the report.
FEB. 1 — A deputy from the PBSO’s Acreage/Loxahatchee substation was dispatched to a home on Orange Grove Blvd. last Friday morning regarding a stolen vehicle. According to the report, sometime between midnight and 7 a.m., someone stole a green 1995 Chevy C1500 with a blue trailer attached to it. The victim said that the trailer contained several tools valued at approximately $15,900 total. There were no suspects or witnesses at the time of the report.
FEB. 3 — A deputy from the PBSO’s Acreage/Loxahatchee substation was called to a home on Orange Blvd. last Sunday morning in response to a recovered vehicle. According to the report, the victim was passing by an unoccupied house on Orange Blvd. when he saw that the garage door was partially open and a silver Honda Civic was inside. The victim believed it might be his stolen car and contacted the PBSO. After a search of the vehicle, the victim determined it was his car; however, someone had removed the computer and stereo system from the vehicle. According to the report, the deputy believed the location was being used for other stolen vehicles, as there were car parts from other vehicles in the garage. There were no suspects at the time of the report.
FEB. 3 — A Wellington resident called the PBSO substation in Wellington last Sunday night to report a stolen vehicle. According to a PBSO report, the victim was at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center at approximately 9 p.m. when someone stole her black 2008 EZ Go golf cart. There were no suspects or witnesses at the time of the report.
FEB. 4 — A resident of Sag Harbor contacted the PBSO substation in Wellington on Monday morning regarding a vehicle burglary. According to a PBSO report, sometime between 11 p.m. last Sunday and 10 a.m. the following morning, someone entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle and removed a black backpack from the front passenger seat that contained a Sony video camera and a horse blanket. The perpetrator(s) then entered the victim’s glove box and stole a Coach wallet containing credit cards and $10 cash. The stolen items were valued at approximately $525. There were no suspects or witnesses at the time of the report.
FEB. 4 — A resident of Sycamore Drive called the PBSO substation in Royal Palm Beach on Monday morning to report a vehicle burglary. According to a PBSO report, sometime between 9:30 p.m. last Sunday and 10 a.m. the following morning, someone entered the victim’s vehicle and stole a .357 Taurus revolver from the glove compartment, along with an iPhone charger. According to the report, the victim said she locked the vehicle, but there were no signs of forced entry. The stolen items were valued at $430. DNA evidence was taken at the scene, but there were no suspects or witnesses at the time of the report.
FEB. 4 — A deputy from the PBSO substation in Wellington was dispatched Monday to a home on Tulip Lane regarding a residential burglary. According to a PBSO report, sometime between 9:30 a.m. and 1:35 p.m., someone broke a side window to gain entry to the home. Once inside, the perpetrator(s) ransacked the house and stole a black .9mm Glock pistol from a bedroom, along with several pieces of costume jewelry. A safe was also removed from a bedroom and dragged to the front door but left unopened. The stolen items were valued at approximately $1,100. There were no suspects or witnesses at the time of the report.
FEB. 5 — An employee of Metro PCS contacted the PBSO substation in Wellington on Tuesday to report a theft. According to a PBSO report, at approximately 5:20 p.m., an unknown white male entered the store, took a floor model Galaxy S III cell phone and left the store without paying for it. The suspect was described as a tall white male wearing a dark-colored shirt, blue jeans, a white ball cap, sunglasses and sandals. The stolen phone was valued at $499.
