The Wellington High School wrestling team placed second at the District 10-3A tournament held the first weekend of February at Boca Raton High School.
The Wolverines qualified 10 wrestlers for the regional tournament, including Andrew Mitchell (106 pounds), Colton Macfarlane (113), Briar Macfarlane (120), Nik Bonadies (126), Mathew Wunderlich (132), Adam Pendleton (138), Brandon Paz (145), Steven Hanford (170), Noah Coulter (195) and A.J. Lopez (220).
The top four wrestlers in each weight class at the regional tournament will qualify for the state tournament on Feb. 15-16.
