MARCH 6 — A deputy from the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office substation in Royal Palm Beach was dispatched to a home on Park Road North last Wednesday evening regarding a burglary. According to a PBSO report, sometime between 7:30 a.m. and 4 p.m., someone shattered the victim’s rear sliding glass door and entered the home. The perpet-rator(s) ransacked the master bedroom and removed $1,100 in cash, an antique jewelry box containing a gold and topaz class ring, a necklace stand with approximately 10 gold and silver necklaces, a bracelet stand with approximately 10 custom pieces of jewelry and more. The stolen items were valued at approximately $50,000. DNA evidence was taken at the scene, but there were no suspects or witnesses at the time of the report.
MARCH 6 — A resident of Valencia Blvd. called the PBSO’s Acreage/Loxahatchee substation last Wednesday to report an act of vandalism. According to a PBSO report, at approximately 5:30 p.m. last Tuesday, the victim discovered that her mailbox had been vandalized. The victim reported that her mailbox had been vandalized in the past, and she did not know who might have done it. There was no further information available at the time of the report.
MARCH 7 — A deputy from the PBSO’s Acreage/Loxahatchee substation was called to a vacant home on 54th Street North last Thursday afternoon regarding a suspicious incident. According to a PBSO report, the complainant found some equipment in a shed on the property and believed it may have been used to make drugs. According to the report, PBSO narcotics and HAZMAT teams responded to the scene to check the contents of the shed and found the equipment to be non-hazardous. The deputy reported that the equipment was used in the cosmetic industry to make perfume.
MARCH 7 — A St. Augustine woman was arrested last Thursday night on drug charges following a suspicious incident in the Groves at Royal Palm shopping plaza. According to a PBSO report, a deputy was conducting a business check when he observed a suspicious vehicle occupied by two people. The deputy conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and made contact with the driver, Brittany Woods Hunter. A computer check revealed that Woods Hunter was driving with a suspended license, and she was asked to step out of the vehicle. According to the report, a search of the vehicle revealed two spoons with dried residue of opiates and two used syringes in the vehicle. Woods Hunter was arrested and taken to the Palm Beach County Jail, where she was charged with possession of a controlled substance, driving with a suspended license and drug equipment possession.
MARCH 8 — A deputy from the PBSO substation in Royal Palm Beach was dispatched to the WalMart Supercenter on Belvedere Road last Friday evening in response to a shoplifter. According to a PBSO report, 27-year-old Christopher Helton was observed entering the electronics department and concealing a camera inside his shirt pocket. According to the report, Helton then left the store, passing all points of purchase without attempting to pay for the item. The deputy stopped him and recovered the camera, along with a GPS device that Helton had hidden in his pants. The stolen items were valued at $268. Helton was arrested and taken to the county jail, where he was charged with theft.
MARCH 10 — A resident of Sugar Pond Manor called the PBSO substation in Wellington last Sunday to report a theft. According to a PBSO report, last Saturday evening the victim was at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center between 5:30 and 9:30 p.m. According to the report, she placed her cell phone on her dining table and later got up from the table to walk around the complex. When she returned to the table, her phone was missing. According to the report, the victim went home and attempted to locate her phone using its GPS system, and was able to trace it to Equine Drive. The victim sent a text message to the phone, but no one responded. The phone was later shut off. There was no further information available at the time of the report.
MARCH 10 — A resident of the Wellington Shores community contacted the PBSO substation in Wellington last Sunday morning to report a vehicle burglary. According to a PBSO report, sometime between noon last Saturday and 10 a.m. the following morning, someone entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle and stole two bottles of water. The victim said her purse and wallet were in the vehicle, but the contents were emptied onto the driver’s seat. DNA evidence was taken at the scene, but there were no suspects or witnesses at the time of the report.
MARCH 10 — A deputy from the PBSO substation in Wellington responded to a home in Sugar Pond Manor last Sunday morning regarding an act of vandalism. According to a PBSO report, sometime between midnight and 10:45 a.m., someone struck the victim’s mailbox and post with an unknown object, causing the post to break and the mailbox to be knocked off the post. The perpetrator(s) caused approximately $100 in damage. There were no suspects or witnesses at the time of the report.
MARCH 10 — A deputy from the PBSO substation in Wellington was dispatched to a home on Yarmouth Court last Sunday afternoon regarding a home burglary. According to a PBSO report, sometime between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., someone climbed the wall that encloses the front porch and entered through an unlocked window. Once inside, the perpetrator(s) stole a black HP laptop computer and approximately $100 in change. According to the report, there were several other valuables in the apartment that were left untouched. The stolen computer was valued at approximately $750. There were no suspects or witnesses at the time of the report.
MARCH 12 — A resident of Hamlin Blvd. called the PBSO’s Acreage/Loxahatchee station Tuesday to report a theft. According to a PBSO report, sometime between 8 p.m. Monday and 4 a.m. the following morning, someone stole a silver roadster bicycle from the victim’s front porch. The victim said the bike was not locked and her property does not have a fence. The stolen bike was valued at approximately $500. There were no suspects or witnesses at the time of the report.
MARCH 12 — A deputy from the PBSO substation in Wellington was called to a location near the Mall at Wellington Green on Tuesday night following a vehicle burglary. According to a PBSO report, sometime between 8 and 10:30 p.m., someone shattered the driver’s-side window of the victim’s vehicle and stole five Xbox video games that were sitting on the back seat. The stolen games were valued at approximately $300. There were no suspects or witnesses at the time of the report.
