The Good Earth Farm in Loxahatchee Groves hosted children from United Cerebral Palsy on Monday, Feb. 25 for some animal-assisted therapy under the direction of Nancy Fried-Tobin.
Animal-assisted therapy is a great way to relax the nervous system, Fried-Tobin said. “It’s also great for little kids who can’t express themselves and older people who also can’t formulate their desires and needs,” she said. “It’s a bonding with animals that happens very quickly without the risk and anxiety of riding.”
Fried-Tobin offered this service to the group for free during the month of February.
