MARCH 26 — A deputy from the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office substation in Wellington was called to the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center on Tuesday evening after a show horse was discovered missing from its stall. According to a PBSO report, sometime between 8:40 p.m. Monday and 7 a.m. the following morning, someone removed the Dutch Warmblood mare from a stall in a tent on the property. The stolen horse is dark brown and nine years old, and was taken with a black halter and lead rope. The horse is valued at approximately $100,000. There were no suspects at the time of the report.
MARCH 21 — A deputy from the PBSO substation in Royal Palm Beach was dispatched to a home in the Victoria Grove community last Thursday afternoon regarding a home burglary. According to a PBSO report, sometime between noon and 1 p.m., someone used a brick to shatter the home’s rear window. Once inside, the perpetrator(s) ransacked the bedrooms and stole several pieces of jewelry, an iPad and two cell phones. According to the report, the stolen items were valued at more than $10,000. There were no suspects or witnesses at the time of the report.
MARCH 22 — A resident of 62nd Place North contacted the PBSO’s Acreage/Loxahatchee substation last Friday to report a theft. According to a PBSO report, the victim ordered a new Apple iPhone 5. The victim reported that on Tuesday, March 19 he checked online and was informed that the package had been delivered to his home. According to the report, the victim checked his surveillance video footage and saw that the package had been delivered. Then, at approximately 2:59 p.m., the footage showed an acquaintance of the victim drive up, approach the front door and ring the doorbell. According to the report, the suspect then picked up the package, returned to his vehicle and left the area. According to the report, the victim had the suspect’s cell phone number, but was unable to reach him. The stolen phone was valued at approximately $750. There was no further information at the time of the report.
MARCH 22 — An employee of Radio Shack on Okeechobee Blvd. called the PBSO substation in Royal Palm Beach last Friday afternoon to report a theft. According to a PBSO report, the employee last saw two black laptops on display in the store at approximately 2 p.m. At approximately 4 p.m., he discovered them missing. According to the report, video surveillance footage showed two men enter the store at approximate 3 p.m. and take both laptops from the display and exit the store. The suspects were described as two black males, one approximately 5’11” and 170 lbs. wearing a black t-shirt and black shorts. The other suspect was approximately 6’ and 350 lbs. wearing a red shirt and beige pants. The stolen laptops were valued at approximately $4,400. There was no further information available at the time of the report.
MARCH 23 — A deputy from the PBSO’s Acreage/Loxahatchee substation responded to a home on 47th Court North last Saturday regarding a case of fraud. According to a PBSO report, last Friday the victim discovered that her identity had been compromised. The victim said that she filed her tax return with the IRS and was told it had been rejected because her Social Security number had already been used. According to the report, the victim said her home had been broken into earlier this month, which may have been how the perpetrator(s) got her information. There were no suspects at the time of the report.
MARCH 25 — An Acreage woman called the PBSO’s Acreage/Loxahatchee substation Monday morning to report a case of vandalism. According to the report, the victim was driving home at approximately 4 a.m. near the intersection of Banyan and Key Lime boulevards. The victim said that an unknown vehicle with several people inside pulled up near her and began throwing rocks at her vehicle. When the victim got home, she realized her vehicle had multiple scratches and dings on it from the incident. There were no suspects at the time of the report.
MARCH 25 — A deputy from the PBSO substation in Wellington was dispatched to a home in the Versailles community Monday regarding a theft. According to a PBSO report, on Tuesday, March 5 the victim found his 50-gallon garbage can missing from his property. The garbage can was green in color and issued by the Village of Wellington. The victim did not know who might have stolen it. There were no suspects or witnesses at the time of the report.
MARCH 25 — A resident of Fairway Cove contacted the PBSO substation in Wellington on Monday morning to report a burglary. According to a PBSO report, sometime between 9 a.m. last Wednesday and 10 a.m. Monday, someone smashed the rear window of the unoccupied home to gain entry. According to the report, the complainant said nothing was taken, but the perpetrator(s) tracked dirt into several rooms. The perpetrator(s) caused approximately $175 in damage to the window. There were no suspects or witnesses at the time of the report.
MARCH 26 — An Acreage woman was arrested Tuesday on charges of shoplifting after she was caught stealing from the Publix store on Royal Palm Beach Blvd. According to a PBSO report, a deputy from the Royal Palm Beach substation responded to the store after a loss prevention officer observed 25-year-old Renae Riley conceal numerous spice bottles in her purse and then exit the store without paying. The loss prevention officer stopped her and recovered $29.94 in stolen merchandise. Riley was arrested and taken to the Palm Beach County Jail, where she was charged with petty theft.
MARCH 26 — A deputy from the PBSO substation in Wellington responded to the Pointe at Wellington Green on Tuesday evening regarding a vehicle burglary. According to the PBSO report, the victim parked her car at approximately 6:30 p.m., leaving her purse under the passenger seat of her vehicle. When she returned 45 minutes later, she discovered that someone had smashed her passenger side window and stolen her purse, which contained her bank card, $80 cash and her Nook. The stolen items were valued at approximately $200. There were no suspects or witnesses at the time of the report.
