For the sixth consecutive year, Jupiter Lanes and Saint Lucie Lanes have been designated a Kids Bowl Free center. This means each and every child receives two free games of bowling each and every day, all summer. It’s the company’s way of giving back to the community and providing children a safe place to go during the summer recess.
Any child or parent can register online for the Kids Bowl Free program. “I am proud to say last year thousands of children bowled free all summer long,” said Doug Moore, general manager of Jupiter Lanes and Saint Lucie Lanes. “This is a fantastic way for families to have a great time together without breaking the bank.”
During summer 2012, over 900,000 families and 1.8 million children nationwide bowled free all summer long. No gimmicks. No strings attached. The Kids Bowl Free program sends coupons via e-mail for two free bowling games each day. The program runs from May 1 until Aug. 31. Signups are open now. Kids Bowl Free works closely with teachers, administrators and bowling centers to provide a safe, fun activity for children during summer break.
Teachers have expressed their concern of budget cuts and the lack of materials for their students. The Bowling To Teachers program helps 500 teachers improve their learning experience for their students by awarding grants.
Grant applications are accepted from certified K-8 teachers from all U.S. states, the District of Columbia and the provinces of Canada, excluding Quebec. K-8 certified teachers teaching in public, private, charter or parochial schools may apply. “Bowling To Teachers” currently does not offer grants to pre-school or home school instructors.
Teachers may apply by visiting www.BowlingToTeachers.com to complete the short grant application.
