Two ninja students from Genbu-Kai Karate recently tested and were promoted to their first 9th kyu (yellow belt) level. Both ninjas are from the Royal Palm Beach/Wellington area.
The 16-month ninja program is specifically designed for preschool children ages 4 to 6. Emphasis is placed on improving fine and gross motor skills while teaching eight life skills: focus, teamwork, control, balance, memory, discipline, fitness and coordination.
The ninjas also learn how to set short-term and long-term goals by testing and advancing through 9 rank levels. Ultimately, the ninja program prepares students who wish to continue and advance to the junior karate program.
