The dog-food drive to benefit 100+ Abandoned Dogs of Everglades Florida at Red Barn Feed & Supply in Loxahatchee Groves has been extended indefinitely.
The organization rescues abandoned animals in the Everglades. More than 900 dogs and 40 cats have been rescued since September 2001, when the organization was founded.
When Darcy Murray, a resident of Loxahatchee Groves, found out about the organization, she started the drive and enlisted the help of Red Barn.
To make a food donation, visit Red Barn at 12948 Okeechobee Blvd. It’s open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.
