Auditions For ‘Sleeping Beauty’ Set For Sept. 17

Spotlight of Wellington will hold auditions for its musical production of Disney’s Sleeping Beauty on Tuesday, Sept. 17 from 5:15 to 6:45 p.m. The show date is Saturday, Dec. 7.

No experience is necessary to audition, and there are roles available for any age group ranging from elementary to high school. The audition will require minimal dancing and singing. However, an inability to sing or dance should not stray hopefuls from auditioning; there are various roles for all kinds of actors, from the experienced to those who have had no experience at all.

Spotlight’s theater program is designed around the idea that acting can be used as a key to self confidence, on or off the stage. The productions that Spotlight puts on serve that purpose. The productions provide students with the opportunity to gain knowledge and experience about theater and acting, while encouraging students to be comfortable and confident.
