Melanie Peterson Joins Children’s Healing Institute Board

The Children’s Healing Institute welcomes newly elected member Melanie Peterson.

An estate agent with Sotheby’s International Realty, Peterson has been a resident of Palm Beach County for 25 years.

In 2012, Peterson ran for State Senate in District 25 and continues to stay active on “issues that are important to me and my family,” she said.

The Children’s Healing Institute is a nonprofit, community organization that serves families in need of support to ensure the safety, health and well-being of children.

Featuring a variety of programs, the institute provides resources and early intervention to prevent child abuse and promote pediatric health in Palm Beach and Broward counties.

A graduate of Florida Atlantic University, Peterson is currently the CEO and founder of HorseMLS.com, as well as the organizer and creator of the South Florida Bridle Club. Well known in the equestrian community, she has played a dynamic part in the industry for more than 20 years.

The mission of the Children’s Healing Institute is to prevent child abuse by strengthening families facing crisis, challenge and change. Through its diversified programs, the Children’s Healing Institute is able to serve 4,000 families each year.
