The Palm Beach County College/Career Fair 2013 will take place Thursday, Oct. 10 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the South Florida Fairgrounds.
The event is one of the most valuable resources for high school students in providing them with pertinent college and career readiness information. The event features more than 175 colleges, universities, career programs and military representatives that provide different resources and opportunities after high school graduation.
“All high school students and their parents are invited to attend this event free of charge. The opportunity to meet with college representatives is beneficial so our students can make informed decisions about their future and plan accordingly,” said Eunice Greenfield, high school counseling specialist.
Commercial vendors who provide tutoring and college search services will participate, in addition to language translators to assist families who speak Spanish and Haitian-Creole.
