Kathi Kretzer of the Kretzer Piano Music Foundation presented a check for 80 percent of the proceeds from a recent concert to Wendy Tippett, the CEO of Adopt-a-Family of the Palm Beaches.
The money will go to Project Grow, which focuses on building social, emotional and educational skills for formerly homeless children who live in the agency’s housing programs. The remaining 20 percent will go to the newly founded Kretzer Piano Music Foundation, which helps provide music education for underprivileged children and performance opportunities for young musicians in Palm Beach County.
Nineteen talented medical doctors presented the concert at the Harriet Himmel Theater in CityPlace in late August to a sold-out audience.
