Grand Champions Polo Club will be the host of the popular International Cup tournament on Saturday, Nov. 30. Last year’s tournament, matching leading polo players from the United States against those of England, proved to be a sold-out event. This year’s tournament featuring the United States vs. Chile is expected to be even more exciting and well-attended.
Polo fans can spend the Saturday after Thanksgiving watching two great matches while relaxing field side with family and friends. The gates will open at 12:30 p.m. and the opening match, featuring the Legends of Polo, will definitely be a crowd pleaser.
Then, at 3 p.m., team USA will take to the field against the team from Chile for the 2013 International Cup title.
This year’s game will benefit the Museum of Polo and Hall of Fame, a nonprofit educational organization dedicated to fostering an appreciation of the development, history and tradition of the sport of polo by collecting, preserving, exhibiting and interpreting its collections, as well as honoring those who have made outstanding contributions to the sport.
For the tournament’s sponsors, and those guests who would like to show up for the match and not have to worry about bringing their own seats, food and beverages, there will be a VIP tent.
VIP tickets are now on sale, and various sponsorship packages are available.
The VIP Corporate Sponsorship, for $1,500, offers a reserved table for 8 at the VIP tent with cocktails and food from Aaron’s Catering of the Palm Beaches, along with corporate sponsor signage as well as parking.
Individual VIP tickets are also available at a cost of $200 per person. This includes VIP admission for one to the Grand Champions Lounge with a mid-field side view of the match, while enjoying cocktails and food from Aaron’s Catering.
For those who would like to watch the matches from their own private tailgate spot, there are several tailgate packages available.
The Grand Champion Tailgate Package, for $500, includes admission for one car, a preferred tailgating spot to view the match, a 10-foot-by-10-foot tent, and a table and four chairs. The package includes a bottle of champagne on ice, four glasses and four Grand Champions Polo Club hats.
The Signature Tailgate Package can be purchased for $200 and includes admission for one car, a reserved tailgating spot, a 10-foot-by-10-foot tent, a table and four chairs.
Guests can also purchase general admission tickets for $20.
