The Village of Wellington honored Town-Crier founder and longtime resident Robert “Bob” Charles Markey Sr. for his dedication to the community at the Wellington Village Council meeting Tuesday, Oct. 22. Markey was one of the leaders in the effort in incorporate Wellington and helped make Wellington the community it is today. He also had countless other influences on the western communities.
