Berean Christian School honored veterans at its annual Veteran’s Day Program on Monday, Nov. 11. There were morning and evening performances.
The program was led by Mrs. Kris Hendricks, elementary music teacher at BCS. Students from kindergarten through grade 12 came together to sing, address the audience and thank all of those who have ever served in the United States military.
The highlight of the program came with Randy Wallin, who addressed the audience by telling of his experiences in the Vietnam War. The finale included 11th grader Kendrick Hippler singing portions of each branch’s official song. As he sang, any members of the military branches were to come forward for recognition and honor.
On Wednesday, Nov. 20, Berean Christian School’s student body came together again for a special time. The annual Thanksgiving chapel included a time of praise and worship led by the high school praise band.
Students then pondered the message given by Pastor Jim Sims of Grace Fellowship’s Acreage Campus. Sims encouraged students and adults alike to be thankful for everything in their lives, even the tough circumstances.
Both of the events were times of reflection for students, teachers and parents in attendance. To learn more about this program or any program at Berean Christian School, visit www.bcsbulldogs.org.
