Polo Park Middle School celebrated Literacy Night at Barnes & Noble in Wellington on Thursday, Nov. 21. Students and teachers turned out for a night of good books, holiday shopping and entertainment. The Polo Park Band, under the direction of Mr. Kevin Graham, played throughout the night. Artwork was provided by Ms. Laura Wortzel’s Photoshop and art classes. The cheerleaders, directed by Ms. Kaitlyn Stolzenfeld, added to the festivities. According to Mrs. Nora Bernstein, Polo Park’s library media specialist, funds raised at the event will support the media center and literacy needs throughout the school.
