The Royal Palm Beach High School Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) Club is working on an event to award safe drivers.
Last year, the club focused on their campaign of “No Texting, I’m Driving” and distributed more than 800 cell phone storage boxes to adults and students.
This year, the club has arranged for students who can prove that they’ve been accident and ticket free for at least a year to have a chance to win a belt that looks just like a seatbelt.
The belt was advertised in a SADD commercial that the club aired on the school news broadcast and can be found on YouTube.
In the video, SADD members show the belts with pride while dancing to an original song that recognizes the safety measures SADD wants to promote within the high school and within Royal Palm Beach.
SADD members like to live by the slogan: “Buckle up, that’s what’s up!” The video can be found by visiting the Florida SADD page on YouTube.
