New Horizons Elementary School students celebrated Thanksgiving in unique ways. They researched Native Americans and the first Thanksgiving, created Native American homes, made paper-bag costumes, created pinecone and camouflage turkeys, and wrote and shared stories about the life of a turkey and being thankful. Parents were invited to join in the festivities with students performing Thanksgiving plays, sharing what they are thankful for and eating traditional Thanksgiving foods prepared at the school by students and parents.
