The Florida Alliance for Retired Americans’ western communities chapter will meet Monday Feb. 3 at 1 p.m. at St. Peter’s United Methodist Church on Forest Hill Blvd. in Wellington. FLARA is an active group working to translate progressive ideas into legislation. The subject of the meeting will be gathering ideas to support the Palm Beach County Health Care District in lieu of the state legislature’s decision not to accept federal funding to expand Medicaid in Florida.
