The foster children at KidSanctuary Campus got an early Christmas surprise when more than 30 members of the Nam Knights visited their home right before the holiday.
Each Nam Knights member raised money and donated gifts to fill the girls’ Christmas list.
“For our children, Christmas is both a happy and sad time,” House Dad Gary Kitchings said. “Because the children are separated from their biological family and realize they may always be separated from them, this can be a very difficult time of year. This outpouring is beyond amazing.”
Tony Schebel, president of the Nam Knights, said they pick a children’s charity each year, and this year they knew they wanted to help the area’s most vulnerable kids at KidSanctuary Campus.
“The kids think they are getting the gifts, but the joy and happiness we see on their faces today is a much bigger gift to us.”
Each girl opened one gift, and the rest were put under the Christmas tree for Christmas morning.
KidSanctuary Campus Inc. in Palm Beach County assists children who have been removed from their home because of neglect and abuse. With land donated by Palm Beach County, and a capital
campaign currently in place, the five-acre residential facility broke ground with its first home on Oct.
5, 2011. The J.M. Rubin Foundation sponsored the first house, which was named the Rubin Cottage. Groundbreaking on the second home, Dodero Cottage, was in October 2013. That home
is expected to be completed this spring.

The Nam Knights Motorcycle Club’s core mission is to honor the memory of American veterans and police officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty, to assist veterans and police officers in need, and promote community awareness through participation in fundraising events.
