Palm Tran Announces Several Schedule Modifications

Palm Tran, Palm Beach County’s public transportation system, recently announced several schedule and route improvements. Changes to routes 62 and 2 began Jan. 12.

Palm Tran Route 62 travels via Lake Worth Road from Wellington to Lake Worth. This route will run later on weekdays, until 7:50 p.m. for both eastbound and westbound buses.

Locations served by Route 62 include the Mall at Wellington Green, Wellington Regional Medical Center, Palm Beach State College and Lake Worth Tri-Rail.

Palm Tran Route 2 travels via Congress Avenue from Palm Beach Gardens to Boca Raton and is one of Palm Tran’s busiest routes. This route will now begin earlier on weekdays, at 5:35 a.m. heading northbound from the Boynton Beach Mall. It will also begin earlier southbound at 5:20 a.m. on weekdays from Palm Beach State College and Congress Avenue.

In another upcoming change, Palm Tran will resume service to the new Palm Beach Outlet Mall (formerly the Palm Beach Mall) on Palm Beach Lakes Blvd. once it has reopened, which is scheduled for February. Routes 2, 33 and 49 will serve the new outlet mall.
