Patterson, Connor Join Leadership Team At WRMC

Two new employees have joined the leadership team at Wellington Regional Medical Center: Chief Operating Officer Michael Patterson and Associate Administrator Brian Connor.

As chief operating officer, Patterson will be an integral part of Wellington Regional’s leadership team, leading patient satisfaction and quality initiatives.

With more than 20 years of administrative experience, Patterson brings extensive healthcare management and leadership skills to Wellington Regional’s team. He has had an extensive career in healthcare, most recently as director of operations of Northside Hospital Cherokee in Canton, Ga., and chief operating officer at Palms West Hospital.

A Georgia native, Patterson earned dual master’s degrees in business and healthcare administration at Georgia State University in Atlanta. He began his career at the Florida Hospital System in Orlando. Throughout his career, he has earned numerous honors and awards, and has served on various community boards.

As associate administrator, Connor will also be an integral part of Wellington Regional’s leadership team.

Connor brings more than 10 years of clinical and administrative experience, along with strategic vision and tactical execution to Wellington Regional’s administrative team. Most recently, he held the position of administrative director at Blake Medical Center in Bradenton. He also was the manager of the Children’s Hospital in Greenville, S.C. Prior to that, he held clinical and administrative roles with Tenet of South Florida.

Connor earned his master’s degree in healthcare administration and a bachelor’s degree in respiratory care from Independence University in Salt Lake City, Utah. He also holds leadership roles in community organizations in Florida and Palm Beach County.
