Wellington is offering a new soccer program. SMILE (Soccer Mentoring and Individual Learning Experience) Soccer is specifically designed to meet the special needs of children with disabilities who want to participate in an organized sport within a safe and positive environment.
The program caters to player development rather than competition. It provides an opportunity for children, ages 8 to 14, to develop a sense of belonging both on and off the field. The program teaches the values of teamwork, trust and building a positive team spirit, and helps children improve self-esteem, fitness and social skills.
