Wellington High School is hosting its second annual Dance Marathon on Friday, March 7 to raise money for the Shands Hospital for Children in Gainesville. Students will be dancing and standing from 4 to 11 p.m. in the gymnasium.
A nationwide movement, Dance Marathon is an event where students dance and stand to raise money and awareness for children who cannot. The money raised is given to a Children’s Miracle Network hospital to help supply sick children with the care and equipment they need.
In 2013, WHS students raised $11,710.39. This year, the students hope to raise even more.
