Nominations are now being accepted for the 2014 Giraffe Awards, presented by the Women’s Chamber of Commerce of Palm Beach County. The Giraffe Awards will be presented in March 2014 during Women’s History Month.
The awards are given annually to honor extraordinary women from Palm Beach County who have made a credible impact on the lives of others; women who have “Stuck Their Necks Out” selflessly and contributed to the business and social fabric of the community.
March was officially designated as Women’s History Month by Congress in 1987. The Women’s Chamber will host a month-long celebration to recognize current Giraffe nominees and past honorees. Last year’s awardees were Author Minx Boren (Coach Minx Inc), Businesswoman Julie Reiser (Made in USA Certified) and Attorney Siobhan Helene Shea (Siobhan Helene Shea Appellate Practice).
This year’s Giraffe Awards is the 19th annual event. Nominees will be announced in February, and the luncheon celebration will be held at the Kravis Center’s Cohen Pavilion on March 26.
