The Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) has once again awarded the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award to Wellington’s Office of Financial Management & Budget for the Fiscal Year 2014 Budget. The award is the nation’s highest recognition in governmental budgeting.
This year’s award is the 19th consecutive year that Wellington has won the honor. The village gives special recognition to Budget & Reporting Director Christine Wadleigh and Project Manager Shelly Williams for their contributions to the honor. The accolade reflects the commitment Wellington staff has for meeting the highest principles and best practices in governmental budgeting.
The GFOA is a nonprofit, professional association serving nearly 18,000 government finance professionals throughout North America. The Distinguished Budget Presentation Awards Program is the only national awards program in governmental budgeting.
