Tae Kwon Do Students Support Down Syndrome Awareness

On Sunday, Oct. 19, the Xtreme Tae Kwon Do from Ultima Fitness students performed a martial arts demo at the 20th annual Gold Coast Down Syndrome Organization’s Buddy Walk held at John Prince Park in Lake Worth.

Led by Grandmaster Gustavo Pope-Guerriero, Xtreme Tae Kwon Do presented the Gold Coast Down Syndrome Organization with a check for $1,400 raised by their students during the annual kick-a-thon fundraiser held in September.

These efforts were to promote understanding and acceptance of people with Down Syndrome and to show support for one of their own, Louis Pampeno, who has Down Syndrome and performed with the Xtreme Tae Kwon Do demo team.
