The Wellington Landings Middle School Student Government Association will hold a car wash Saturday, Jan. 31 from 9 a.m. to noon at Park Avenue Barbecue (corner of Wellington Trace and Greenview Shores Blvd.) to help a fellow student who was recently diagnosed with brain cancer. Ally Rene, an eighth-grade student at WLMS, was diagnosed in December and needs help from the community. Money raised from the car wash will be donated to Rene’s family to help cover the cost of her mounting medical bills.
