Wellington invites residents to show their support for law enforcement personnel by attending a unity rally hosted by Palm Beach County Commissioner Melissa McKinlay and Indian Trail Improvement District Supervisor Michelle Damone Friday, Jan. 2 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Wellington Amphitheater.
The rally will include a peaceful candlelight ceremony. Candles will be supplied at the event.
Wellington Mayor Bob Margolis plans to attend in order to show support and gratitude for public safety personnel who willingly answer the call of duty, even in the face of danger.
“Here at the Village of Wellington, we take pride in our local heroes who dedicate their lives to the safety and protection of others,” Margolis said. “Please join us at the unity rally, to show them and their families that we care.”
The event will end with a moment of silence in honor of those lost in the line of duty.
